Guano Carnaval

The most recognized carnival festivals in the province of Chimborazo are those of Guano, where several events are held that receive thousands of national and foreign tourists.

The Carnival in Guano is a traditional festivity that has been maintained for several years and has become a very important party, full of joy, music, troupes, dance, corsos and more.

It will be held from February 18 to 21, 2023; starting on Shrove Saturday, followed by Shrove Sunday full of parties and parades, passing through Shrove Monday and ending on Shrove Tuesday.

There are village band competitions, corsos in the Santa Teresita neighborhood and fireworks.

The mote pata is the typical dish of this festivity.
