Carnaval 'Flores y las frutas'

 The Carnaval of Flowers and Fruits i (Fiesta de las flores y las frurtas) is a popular celebration that takes place approximately between February or March of each year in the province of Tungurahua, specifically in Ambato, Ecuador. This festivity is one of the most popular festivals in the country and is called one of the most beautiful.



The name of the festival comes from the large local production of fruits and flowers that coincides with the first months of the year.
In the city of Ambato, which has a high cultural level, the use of games with water, flour, powder, eggs and carnival foam has been prohibited, which are practiced in other neighboring towns, invading the personal space of the tourist.

The tradition of the festival is the Election of the Queen of Ambato, The Blessing of Flowers, Fruits and Bread, the Parade of the Fruit and Flowers Festival, The Folklore Festival, The Verbenas, Gastronomic Festivals, Music Festivals, Concerts, The Retro Party and finally The Nocturnal Round.
